This is the first time that we have been selected for the Megagrowth list, so to place so highly is a recognition of the successful vision of MD Jan Post who founded, and still leads, the company. Jan explains:

“Our name is an acronym for ‘Reliable, Integrity, Friendly and Tenacious’. We look for these values in every individual within the company and in each interaction with our clients.”

“We educate and enlighten individuals and businesses about the opportunity of recovering money to which they are entitled to but never knew existed. We help them every step of the way to securing their refund, keeping them free from stress and worry.”

In its 15 year history the UK leader in Tax Refunds has continued to diversify and has grown a reputation for excellence in Research & Development Tax Credits, SME Cloud Accounting Services, Capital Allowances, Will Writing and Indemnification against HMRC challenges which all provide individuals and small businesses with access to the kind of financial help and advice often considered out of their reach.

“We pride ourselves on being easy to talk to and easy to do business with; we don’t try to baffle or impress our clients by inundating them with technical language or legislation. Tax can be very complex and confusing, not to mention the worries about what will happen if you get something wrong. This leads to many people losing hard earned money to the taxman that should be back in their own pockets, making their own lives easier. If you overpaid for something in a shop, you’d ask for your money back. This is no different. It’s not about claiming something for free, it’s simply getting back what was always yours to begin with.”

We've had some impressive success statistics with turnover growing by 255% in four years, and in addition staff numbers have grown from 44 to 157 people, having recently passed £100million in refunded tax for clients.

Jan said, “Being recognised as Megagrowth 50 company is a fantastic accolade. It’s a real achievement to be considered amongst other leading Kent businesses and a testament to the excellence of the RIFT team.”

“We are especially proud to have been able to grow the business during a time when many businesses have succumbed to external economic pressures. Looking through the list of Megagrowth companies is very inspiring. The variety of businesses in Kent is a strong factor in its prosperity and this ensures there is no ‘all the eggs in one basket’ problem that can be a danger to the economic stability of many other regions.

We’re very proud to be a part of the strong support network for entrepreneurs in Kent, with 70% of businesses employing one to four staff and with the first year survival rate beating the national average. I believe a large part of this is due to the genuine sense of community among local Kent businesses.”

Combining this news with it being our 15th anniversary year, plus our recent KEiBA Award for Customer Service and Commitment, completes a hat trick of recent reasons to celebrate and we are immensely pleased to be recognised for the hard work and commitment of everyone here.”

Now in its 14th year, Megagrowth 50 is compiled based on the average turnover growth of privately owned businesses that have a minimum turnover of £1m. It is staged by the Kent Messenger Group and sponsored by Lloyds Bank, asb law and Kreston Reeves.
