Thinking of entering the Entering the Kent Excellence in Business Awards? You’ll be in great company…

Tuesday January 19, 2016

Now in its 8th year, the Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA) is an annual awards scheme staged and produced by Kent County Council and KM Media Group to recognise and reward excellence in Kent’s businesses.

This year, we’re not just sponsoring the SME Business of the Year category, we’re also judging too. And there are a quite few great reasons for that.

As a previous double award-winner, we know the value of championing and celebrating business across Kent. So we’re always keen to get involved in any way we can.

We see it as an opportunity for small business to get a pat on the back for their hard work – a little recognition that goes a long way to boosting staff morale and giving customers or clients yet another reason to do business with you.

And we’ve experienced exactly that for ourselves.

As a business that’s grown exponentially by putting customer service at the heart of everything we do, we were very excited to win the KEiBA Award for Customer Service and Commitment 2015. It’s recognition for our growing team and an affirmation that we’re on exactly the right track with our strategy.

We also benefited from invaluable media coverage that raised our profile even further and got to meet and be inspired by fellow business leaders.

While winning can be a very powerful and cost-effective marketing tool, even just entering the awards is an opportunity to get a fresh perspective on your business, help inform planning and to get real support and renewed motivation.

As a family company long established in Kent, we’re also continually inspired by the diversity of ambition that is growing across our county – making sure the Garden of England continues to thrive. Taking part in awards like these gives us a real opportunity to be part of the strong support network for start-ups and established businesses and maintain that genuine sense of community that is key to driving the above average rates of success Kent businesses enjoy.

The awards launched with much fanfare on the 7th January and right now we’re looking ahead to the beginning of February when we will be briefed in our role as judges and take part in the associated IOD/KEiBA networking event at the Bridgewood Manor, Walderslade.

If you’re attending too – please do say hello!
